I have now completed station area trackwork using IP digital motors and it is now getting complicated to control addresses and understand routes so I will put together a control panel. I have a terminus line with a runaround loop for a loco. If I place a reed sensor at the buffer end, can I feed that back to the Alpha switch board (using a Y connector) so that it automatically changes the turnout (and the illumination of the turnout on the control panel)? Is there a better way of doing it?

You can do that.

Use the sensor to change the turnout, and the turnout switch to change the LED. If you need more, then call and ask for John or Mick who can talk you through it wire- x wire if needed

OK. I wouldn't need to go from the sensor to the motor though as the feed to the control panel would change the turnout via the AEU,
