Hi

My DCC Alpha Centrals control my turn outs perfectly, but with all turnouts set for my locos to travel normally, I have some red and some green lights on the Centrals. It would be clearer for me to operate if the leds were all green in this ‘normal’ configuration, only turning red when the turn out is selected. Is there a way to reboot the alpha Centrals so that ones current points selection results in all leds in one color? Not sure I’m making myself clear but hope some advice can be offered.

Hi Andy

It is a good subject to have raised. Many will have had the same question but not asked!

The 197/ reverse throw direction command has many uses, and this is an important one, as having the "Panel" act as a signal box does with a specific position for "Normal" makes operating more comfortable as well as being more correct.

Hi Ahjay,

I have 25 Cobalt IP Digital point motors installed, the majority as crossovers and have just purchased an Alpha Central Unit. I'm using a NCE Powercab and have all my motors set that option 1 is the point straight through, should the Alpha Central give me all one colour LEDs or will i need to use the 197 setting again?
Also can i still change the point motor from the Powercab when the Alpha Central has been installed?

Thanks

If you have already set them so that option 1 is the main, then they should theoretically all be green. Try it.

Yes, you can still use Powercab to set the points but of course they will then be out of phase with Apha Central's LED settings.

Thanks Ahjay,

Another question if I may please

(apologies Andy if I've hijacked your post)

My Cobalt IP Digitals have accessory addresses from 1 to 14. Can I set the Alpha Central to start at address 3 therefore keeping 1 and 2 operated from the Powercab? Also can I set my Alpha Mimic panel likewise?
