I've been bending Mick's ear this morning, great help and advice but.....there's always a but.

I've taken on board all he said except for one item.

Can the switch polarisation part of the controller be fed from the bus wire, bearing in mind that track feed ( bus wire) is supplied via a Gaugemaster 100MO which supplies an unregulated 12v DC supply?

As I said in the title I feel rather embarrassed ringing again. 🙂

Brian.

Also been wondering if I could " Daisy Chain" the common returns which might mean I could use the PCU2 switch unit.

Hello Brian

I think you really should ring again - we really do NOT mind multiple calls as it is important to get it right for you.

There is NO "point polarisation" part of the SS controller. The motor to control board connection is a 4-wire harness that give both power and change-related digital information to the SS motors. You must not use the Gaugemaster PCU1 or PCU2 in any way at all as these control devices are for solenoids - and if you use them, you will cause damage. Cobalt SS motors are NOT solenoids!

kind regards, Ahjay

Hi Richard, took your advice and rang, glad I did.

Young Chris got it sorted out, now eagerly awaiting the delivery of the SS units.

Thanks

Brian.
