Hi
I am new to all this so please bear with me I want to use two IP cobalt point motors on a crossover. I would like them to operate both points  at the same time. Can this be achieved? If so please explain how to wire them to achieve this. I am using hornby points so no live frogs involved.
Regards
Bob

Are you using a DC control system or a DCC control system Bob knowing that will help give you the correct answer it can be done easily with both control systems.

Power is connected to DCC IN.
If you are using DCC - just give them the same address. No other connections required as you are using electrofrog
If one works the opposite way to the other, then use the revers command 197 as explained in the manual.

If you are operating them via pushbuttons, then you can connect the PBS terminals in parallel.
(Power can be either DCC or regulated DC)
Connect 7-7, 8-8 and 9-9 on the two motors and then connect one pushbutton from 7-8 and the other 8-9.

  1. Hi Brian I am using DCC , but I expect like all newbies getting somewhat confused by the jargon and products on offer. From what Mike has said I take it I don't need anything else other than two cobalt ip point motors set to the same address to use them on a crossover

Bob, strangely enough this is a very similar question to the one you have already asked.  As Mick has said though simply apply the same address to both point motors and they will operate simultaneously when you send the signal from the controller.

I have three sets of points, paired up in this way.  For instance when I operate accessory Number 3 two points change and the crossover opens at both ends.
