Mister Rusty
The track is laid across the joints, fixed with superglue, and cut in situ once all is dry.
The wiring is either a 2-pin or 4-pin plug and socket, if DCC. Each module will be fitted with switches in the bus to enable easier continuity checks on each individual module.
For a moveable fixed layout (not an oxymoron), location could be by sliding garden gate-sized bolts, these could also be used as the pivot point to enable the boards to tip up.
Over-centre catches avoiding spread between the boards, as l have used.
It also means that if a mind is changed, then it becomes portable (house-moves etc.
A friend is moving and has a superb S&D layout that will probably need to be broken up to get it out of its room, because it is permanent. So sad.
I am locked out, hooked up on your last message, this is the only way that l can get into the forum.
Anyone else having issues?
