Hi
I have just started a new layout
I have built and wired the control panel 
Cobalt alpha with Led push buttons
(all the necessary DCC Concept equipment required)

I am using NCE for loco control

I have started laying the track from the fiddle yard back towards the main switching layout area

The fiddle yard is fed through  a Peco 3 way point 

The cobalt digital motors don't appear to be working corectly
(I may have got them reversed) 

How do I sort it out

Can I re program them

If so.  How

Hi Ian,

Peco 3 way points can be a tad tricky to configure the wiring and dual  point motor set up!  Attached document gives you some good starters.  But this is just the wiring.  You still need to program your controller, and the 2 two point motor addresses and direction. It would help in offering suggestions  if you could describe exactly how you have set up the controller and iP digital motors.

It is useful to have specifics. [Sort of like any diagnosis... ie: a sore foot can be a broken toe or a stone in your shoe, and the fix is quite different :-) :-) ]

1/ What is the specific problem? What happens that you want to avoid happening?
2/ which peco 3 way point?

If we know those things we can help you more specifically.

It will almost certainly be how the motors are wired. You should 1deally interlock them for a 3 way point as there are three correct routes and one "illegal route".

We have specific diagrams for the assymetric or symetrical Peco 3 way. If you can specify which you have we can give you a useful diagram. I will also ask Mick to pop in and look once we have more detail in case you also need help with the Alpha side of things

Does that diagramme work both types of Peco 3-way?
Asymmetric and symmetric, also what code rail, and is there a difference again?
I need to find the definitive answer for our club's layout, which has an issue with two opposed symmetric 3-ways that just do not behave themselves. There are no DCCconcepts components in use (as yet) , solenoid motors, CDU-fed, under-board mounted, frog juicers, Peco mechanical switching (ugh)
3 members have had a go at it, and l feel that a clean sweep, using 4 Cobalt ipdigitals is the way to go.
But l am unsure of which diagramme to use.
The appropriate diagramme will be great, thanks. (not necessarily for the full 3-road yard .
