I have a new airbrush, haven't got round to using it yet. I building a cardboard box spray booth with a cheapo 4 inch extractor fan just need to find my Olfa circle cutter so I can fit the fan. Someone has sneaked into the house and hidden it.

Hi

Thanks for the decal info. I'm doing a few engineers wagons from the mid 1950's
My Catfish are gulf red ?? Actually red lead oxide ...... from the first 1955 production.
Mermaids, Dogfish & Shark are all here in stock ready to make and the two Catfish
ready for decaling.

Just started on a Walrus and boy it is not an easy build. The instructions are terrible smudged pictures and the building sequence is all out of step. After scratching my head for a while trying to figure out the instructions I just built it the way it seemed logical to me.

It's hard to be certain but I think Gulf Red was a livery from about 1960 ish. I could well be wrong B&W photos can make it hard to tell black and red apart

Hi AltcarBob,
Another question for you. Is your Walrus from an original (perhaps black plastic) or a newly packaged
version ?
I found the instructions with my 'New' release 'Catfish' better than the old one I made first. My 4 Mermaids
and the Shark are all old black plastic kits and I'm expecting some difficulty in deciphering the build instructions.

Hi Geoff it's as far as I know the latest version I bought it directly from Cambrian. The instructions feel like they have been formatted from the original to get them on two sides of A4 this means they're not in order and some paragraphs have been condensed into one paragraph. The pictures are the worst though looking like a photocopy on its twentieth copying. 15709735623074198453567450794151.jpg   15709736887921043130754803986054.jpg I wouldn't call myself a good modeller but I have 45 years of kit building to fall back on which meant I just ignored the instructions and built it my way.

Altcar nice work, and so many people ignore the insides, you can rub DCC Concepts weathering paints in their, and add a little water at the bottom so it pools as it would in reality.

Sarah also nice work I particularly like the mineral wagon, they lend them selves to that dirty look 🙂
