I'm assuming that I'll need to remove the snap springs from bullhead points to use my cobalt motors. The springs look particularly well hidden so does anbody have tips for their safe removal?

I may have an answer after Warley as my layout is due to be re-laid in 4mm Peco bullhead track. It's  subject to getting my hands on a sample, but we are working to similar equipment.
I have just finished a friend's layout,  where l have removed all vestiges of the spring box, etc. on his points and crossing .
Have you found the how-to on DCCconcepts' site?  15428247003491904538671.jpg
The drawing pins are holding the track into the cork, sleepers to be added where necessary. The track had been drawn around prior to being modified.
I know that l will never go back to solenoids and c.d. units now
All the best
Buch, Can l sleep now?

The how to refers to code 100/75 which I've had no problems with, like you I'm relaying with buulhead, but the new points have a redisigned pull bar layout and there isn't the lift up panel concealing the spring. Bowing the sleeper looks likely but they're expensive bits of kit!

IMG_0615.jpg  Turn the point face down and remove the panel on the leading sleeper, spring can then be removed.
