I finally took the plunge and have installed point motors, springs were still in place at the time of recording but aren’t now.

Nice work if you can buy them 😟. My shiny new ADM turntable is  waiting to be connected to the rest of the loft layout because of this. Anybody out there have 6 DIP motors they can spare for a good cause? Andrew safe and shielded in Surrey

I had mine on pre-order, I find Facebook buying groups for model railways handy for second hand ones of these but they are just as rare. Sorry 😐

We just delivered a considerable quantity, and many more are in production now.

BTW, we have done a lot of work with the ADM turntable, successfully integrating an Alpha-based control panel for it. I will ask Tech service to contribute what they can in relation to that soon

Nice video. The springs do need to be removed for smooth operation. My own layout has all its points operated with Cobalt ip digital which have proved to be reliable to date. Easy to fit and program.

Am about to purchase an ADM turntable. What is the advantage of an integrated Alpha based control panel as mentioned above? I was assuming I would use their control panel.

I guess its about preferences Ron
We worked with ADM to do an Alpha based panel for it as they'd been asked about it and liked the idea. We have done it an I can ask John to pop in and discuss if you want.

Hi Ron.
Following on from Ahjays comments.
The ADM turntable comes with its own separate controller for full operation, but based on a discussion that was had with Alister from ADM, and also our own customer comments, where customers said, yes the supplied panel is great, but what if i want to integrate this with a Alpha Mimic panel, and not use the supplied version.
I spoke to Alister and we decided to see if it could be made, i had a turntable supplied by ADM to mess about with.
We already knew that the turntable could be used with the digital systems using accessory commands.
So i made up a basic panel with out indication using push buttons, integrated to a Alpha Control Panel via the AEU, this worked fine and i was able to use this perfectly with any system, either using the Sniffer and or the Power and Box.
I then had a customer who said this is great but i want to have indication as to the road on the panel that selected, now this gave be a  bit of a head  scratcher as he has 19 roads around his turntable, he wanted the indication, to just show green when the road was selected, and all the other roads to show red, this was over come by using multi macros, fortunately he was using the NCE 5a system so the macro issue was easy to fix.
This in turn gave me a different problem as i now needed the road button to command a digital address and 3 macros at the same time.
This was over come by using a NCE mini panel.

This is the test simple button only version i used to see if it would work as expected, the red buttons move the table bridge to the tail end and the red to the head end

This shows the test version with the led indication as mentioned above.
If you need more information or you would like to discuss any of the above please give me a call.
John.
