I have built a few buildings, both for myself and for commissions over the last few years. I will post occasional photos and add a few construction notes.

Most of my buildings are constructed around a plasticard shell. Even complex buildings are serious of boxes, joined in various configurations to achieve the finished shape.

First up is a 4mm model of Fawley Station (Southampton) constructed as a commission. As usual, this is a 40 thou plasticard shell with a the render achieved using a texture paint from the Warhammer Games Workshop range. This gives a good texture and colour. The shell being painted a base colour first and then the texture paint applied using a plastic spatula (Warhammer). Most of the windows are unique, which I cut on my Portrait Cutter having first drawn on 2D CAD. The pantiles are from Wills sheets -  a pain to cut and shape, but does result in a good looking roof.

Another completed build. This time a model of part of the depot at Inverness in 4mm.

You really cannot beat a bespoke building and these are superb examples.  I do like the way the Inverness one is grafted into the backscene at an angle.
