Occasionally we will venture from our desks/benches to see steam specials passing the office, ut yesterday was the return of steam hauled tours.
70000 Britannia on a Crewe-Carlisle Fellsman.
So the northbound was observed from work, but the timing of the southbound run meant that I could see it at a watering stop  - coinciding with my return home and then not too much later, passing near my house.

Enjoy 70000.jpg

Beautiful, I will never tire of watching a steam locomotive under load.  It still amazes me that cylinders of that size, using the power of expanding steam only, can produce enough power to pull a train.

You must have lived a sheltered life.....   most wives can give a perfect demonstration of a full head of steam.  😫 😮 😳...   😇

Ok, back to serious, thanks for the picture and video, Mick, what a truly majestic sight and demonstration of engineering at it's best.

It is also good to know that, with care, life hasn't completely stopped because of the virus.
